How this collaboration and idea started – During my Healing program with Jale, along with many themes, we worked on healing the Inner child wounds. During our work, her music also became a theme in it. We shared a beautiful connection, sharing our love for Rumi, books, poetry, we would often share stories from India and Iran, our amazing cuisine, history, mountains, spiritual practices, war, society, culture and the painful discrimination one culture can have about another. But our souls connected for healing, without these man made barriers…… and it became clear to me that I must share this dream with her ( I saw Jale in her ancestral home in Iran, as a young child, and these were my words for her in my dream – sister, shall we make music together to bring the east, west and middle of our planet together in compassionate healing? ) and ask her if she will be interested to break more barriers and collaborate to make a music journey with me. She was happy to join, so in 2020 we put our love and energy to make this sweet little dream come true during the lockdown. We are one, there is no color, race, religious barriers that can separate us. And through this collaboration we wish to remind ourselves and everyone that each of us matter, no matter where we come from, where we have lived and where we are all going…We are all medicine women. Nothing can separate us and take our power away! Nothing or none can turn us women against each other in the name of differences. This is a choice each one of us can make and we invite you to join us. Before we start this healing journey, this is a gentle reminder to keep a shawl or blanket ready, along with a childhood photo of yourself and a white flower.
Preparation:- A blanket or shawl to cover yourself. A childhood photo of yourself A white flower of your choice. You also don’t need to pluck the flower, you can also visualize it near you. As children, many of us didn’t receive the love and validation we needed to become secure adults. Some of us unfortunately missed security in our own family, endured abuse and neglect, felt unheard and unseen. This meditation is designed to guide you into making a deeper connection with your inner-child for a deep sense of safety and inner-calm. Allow love to enter your heart, with this beautiful and nurturing Shamanic healing accompanied by soulful santoor music played by my Iranian sister, Jale. As we embark on this journey. We stand together as sisters. Breaking barriers of color, race & religion, wholeheartedly bridging ancestral wisdom and knowledge to each one of you. As you let go of the emotions and heaviness that are associated with negative/ painful childhood experiences, you will be able to recapture the innocence and joy of your childhood. Allow yourself to bring back pure love & innocent laughter into your life. Allow yourself to sit with yourself like how you did when you were a child. Cry as long as you feel good. Smile as long as you wish to. Here, all is welcome. You are not broken. No part of you is unwanted, inferior or ordinary. May you release deep emotional blockages and pain. May you feel the love of the Universal mother who guides us into our own healing medicine. But dear sister, stop circling in this pain and trauma, you can reconnect to this part of your beautiful self, will you join us in healing love?
Treat these MUSIC JOURNEY’S as healing sessions, not as meditations. You will need a quiet space where you will not be interrupted for the duration of the session, a pen and a notebook could be useful, and you may need some quiet space after you listen to process what you experienced. So make an appointment with yourself to listen to the session, just as you would make an appointment with a therapist.Remember that these healing sessions are not a fix or a cure, they’re just another tool to help you on your journey of healing. You might find they bring up emotions that are difficult for you to handle alone, so be prepared to have someone to talk to about it,if needed.

Read more about Inner child healing here:-
Inner child healing is the process of contacting, understanding, embracing and healing your inner child. Your inner child represents your first self that entered into this world; it contains your capacity to experience wonder, joy, innocence, sensitivity and playfulness.
These are some signs that you may have a wounded inner child:-
-You feel that there is something wrong with you, in the deepest parts of yourself.
-You experience anxiety when going out of your comfort zone.
-You’re a people-pleaser and you go out of your way to say yes to everyone
-You don’t have a strong sense of identity. You want to fit in too badly.
-You deliberately like being in conflict with people around you. There is some drama happening.
-You’re a hoarder of things, emotions, people, and you have a hard time letting go.
-You feel inadequate as a man or a woman. You don’t feel you deserve anything good and joyful in your life.
-You constantly criticize yourself for your supposed inadequacy.
-You’re unforgiving to yourself, rigid and a perfectionist.
-You have a hard time committing and trusting yourself and people around you,
-You have deep abandonment issues and would cling to relationships, even when they are toxic.
There are many more signs that your inner child may be wounded. Truthfully, all of us, no matter how small or insignificant, have traumas from our past that need addressing.
The inner child exists as the childlike aspect within your unconscious mind. It reflects the child we once were, in both her “positive” and “negative” aspects. Our unmet needs and repressed childhood emotions, as well as our childlike innocence, natural enthusiasm, and creativity, are all waiting within us.The repressed emotions refer to all of the things you were taught as a child not to feel if you wanted to receive love. The result: you were only offered attention when you obeyed. It’s almost inevitable that this happens when parents, education, and society impose rules and standards to help socialize us into becoming functioning human beings. In fact, it’s good that this happens. Constraints are required in order to understand boundaries and grow as human beings. However, the result is that the inner child within you still holds onto the sadness, anger, and trauma that resulted from feeling rejected.
But dear sister, you can stop circling in this pain and trauma, you can reconnect to this part of your beautiful self, will you join us in healing love?
Gratitude & love,
Ra
